Classic introduces US Yellow Style
School Buses to our region
The new Classic School Buses will soon become a recognizable feature on our roads.
They alert other road users to the children because of their distinctive yellow and black livery reinforced by the vehicles being only for school travel.
All safety features associated with home to school transport are present. These
include, three point seat belts, reinforced windows and a solid structure. The scholars' physical safety is paramount. Classic is again leading the way in introducing these special school use only vehicles.
First UK (Firstbus) introduced this style of school bus to the UK on 18
February 2002 in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Although using this American School Bus Style in the UK is a relatively new practice, Classic believes that using dedicated school buses like these shows the way
forward as an example of safer school transport for the Children of the North-East.
Classic presently offers three such specialist vehicles, two 69 seat single
deck and one 75 seat double deck buses.
A number of articles on the BBC's education news web site have highlighted
the increasing support for more School Buses; due not only to the benefits for our Children but also the wider economical and safety benefits for the public in general. These articles can be found at
